who have access to a telephone and a computer
the ability to learn, in real time, from
top business and publishing experts in the
United States. There are two learning tracks:
One in small business operation, and one
in small, or independent, publishing. Current

cost of classes is low, and students can
learn from their own homes or offices. Classes
are packed with practical business information
and presented by experts with real-life
experience."
Users
visit the site and register online for one
or more of the live, one-hour classes. At
class time, the learner calls one central
number and is connected with the instructor
and the other classmates. At that time,
they do not need to use their computers,
only their telephones. However, some classes
are planned in which web conference technology
is used, and learners will be able to learn
by phone as well as follow along on their
computers.
For
one hour, the instructor teaches the class
and provides time for learners to ask questions.
Handouts and other class materials are emailed
to the learners. The lesson plans are developed
in conjunction with Lorilyn Bailey, a professional
instructional designer, and she ensures
the classes are instructionally sound.
The
cost is $39 a class, with multi-class discounts
that bring the cost down to $29 per class.
Most classes are one hour in length, but
multi-class courses are planned. Classes
are offered at 12 noon or 4 PM Eastern Standard
Time, making them convenient for learners.
